Genre: Slice of Life, Comedy
Summary: Konagai Tomoko is normally a very shy individual. She has no friends and lacks any social skills. So, needless to say, she's not great at dealing with people. Once she's at home and with her cats, though, she's in her element. Perhaps her love for her fur babies will be the key to her finally connecting with other people.
Review: This is...a show...I guess. Alright, basic rundown: cats are chibi people who can read, write, and enjoy tv, but they are also cats. Konagai is a crazy cat lady despite being a freshman in high school. Her cats, or Nyanko, are named Ma, Shi, and Ro. Ma is an energetic toddler. Shi is generally cute but sensitive, aka a crybaby. Ro is weirdly smart and studious. Konagai makes friends with another girl who also has a fancy cat and another who hates cats. It is a cute show.
Warning: This show will not give you cavities.
Yeah, that about sums it up I guess. Even though I watched this, I'm still wrestling with the concept and how this ever got turned into a show. Seriously, I'm just kinda at a loss for words when it comes to this show. I mean, it's mere existence isn't offensive to me. Thank god for small blessings. It isn't particularly good though either. It's just kinda...here...taking up time I could be spending reviewing actual shows.
It may kill brain cells though.
In all seriousness, it's an OK show but doesn't have a lot of meat to it. It's full of moeblob anthropomorphic cat antics but doesn't stick around to leave much of an impact. Honestly, the best you can hope to get out of this show is a reestablishment of what your favorite character archetype might me and possibly relating to cat lady Konagai on a personal level. Do you like cute things? What do you have to lose? Trade your brain cells for momentary amusement. It's not like you were using them anyway.
