Since I am someone who takes as much pleasure in watching shows as I do chatting them up and tearing them apart, I am always open to recommendations.

I do have one rule, though:  absolutely no porn or hentai.  While ecchi and sexual scenes are fine since they are the norm of anime these days, I do need to draw the line somewhere.  It's a matter of both professional and personal preference.

Not that it particularly matters, but I personally prefer absurdist comedy,
slice of life, action thriller, power fantasies, psychological/thoughtful works, and titles with some kind of message relevant to current events.
