Summary: Hayato Izumi is the kind of guy who you'd expect to win a race for Student Council President, but there's no way to win against the platform of sexual freedom his opponent, Wakana Ui, is using. Disappointed but far from beaten, Izumi settles for being Ui's Vice President. It turns out there's more to their relationship than that when Ui show's up at his doorstep with an agreement from their parents that the two of them are to be wed. Suddenly Izumi's life is full of stress and sexuality as the school disciplinary committee, and a few other parties, try to get in the way of their personal life.

Review:

Seriously, how do you beat that when your voter base is composed entirely of hormonal teens?

I have a few issues with this show, to put it mildly. While I'll admit I'm displeased that I convince myself to watch what basically amounts to softcore porn, that isn't the only or even main reason I dislike this show. What bothers me about this show is its frequent lack of rationality in favor of something that would be called a harem plotline in any other series. To explain, Izumi welcomes Ui into his home and things tend to get a little raunchy every now and then. In spite of this, Izumi offers little to no resistance to the advances of other women who are drawn to him for reasons that run from Ui to he talked to me once and wasn't an asshole. So,what does Ui typically due in response to Izumi's apparent unfaithful behavior? She either pouts, gives him the silent treatment for all of 30 minutes (their time, not show time), or finds ways to entice him into action, thus making their relationship A-OK. While I'd be willing to concede the point that she's just being considerate of his feelings, since they aren't actually married or even an official couple, there has to be a line somewhere. At least, I'd like to assume so, but the show seems clear that it doesn't really care since there seems to be some kind of timeshare on Izumi's dick between Ui and her prudish rival, Misumi Rin, so long as Izumi refuses to officially choose either of them. That's not what bothers me the most though. What bothers me most about the show can be summed up in a single line.

At one point, in Season 2, things get hot and heavy between Izumi, Ui, and Misumi, for some moronic reason. As things start to get serious with this soon to be threesome the show let's one line slip that set off all my triggers, and I'm not talking about the kind this show prefers.

What kind of world do we live in where that line needs to pop up in the middle what's basically porn, like some kind of disclaimer? What bothers me about this show is that there needs to be some kind of reminder of that fact. Some people might call Ui's willingness to forgive being considerate. I call it a willingness to be a sexual object in hopes that Izumi might accept her as his bride. I hate the fact that I even need to consider that being the character's motivation, let it alone find it the most believable since Izumi does little more than care for her like a pet. I admit, I might just be hyper sensitive about this because of recent events, but I'd like to that little fact shouldn't need a reminder.

Personal tirade aside, this show does exactly what it promises. It teases. It titillates. It can make Julliene fries! If you's looking for realistic characters and a worthwhile plotline, you're in the wrong aisle, buddy. If you want what I described and bashed on previously, since you're probably not a massive prude like me, then I think I've probably convinced you already. Now, get outta here, you crazy kids with your weak moral fiber and desire to hump anything remotely provocative.
