Summary: Sakura Kinomoto is your average 4th grader. She has a loving family, a best friend that likes to dress her up in silly costumes, and some childish problems with love. All those problems are compounded though when she comes across an old book filled with cards, specifically the Clow Cards which were created by the ancient magician Clow Reed. After accidentally scattering the magically imbued cards to the wind Sakura is now tasked to both retrieve them and serve as their guardian while simultaneously keeping the whole thing secret from her family and separate from her school life.

Review: I...honestly don't even know where to begin with this one. I don't know how much of the show I actually remember, and how much are just remnants from the manga and the other CLAMP series that Sakura, or some alternate reality version of Sakura, is present in. What I do recall clearly is this. Cardcaptor Sakura is a classic and was the first "magical girl" show a lot of people in my generation watched, alongside the teenage Sailor Moon. It was a series that started off childish and silly and eventually became childish and serious. While it remained a fun and lighthearted show, there was a deadly serious tone to the show that didn't ruin that childish nature. It was simple, and you could see things coming from a mile away if you knew how to look (most kids don't), but it is still a fairly engaging watch.
