Review: For a lot of people, Lucky Star served as something of an introduction to the interaction between the genres Slice of Life and Comedy. Founded entirely on simple, everyday conversations, a comedy is formed from the interactions of four people who are good friends in spite of being very different people, until they become such good friends that the proper hijinks can ensue. It's not unreasonable to claim that Lucky Star is a must-see of the anime industry since it is the foundation to so many shows since, which have incidentally improved upon the formula, but it is by no means a perfect show. The humor is occasionally dry and the characters are nothing special, but it has been labeled an "anime legend" for very good reasons.
