Common Name: Black Cat
Score: 6/10
Length: 23 episodes
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Super-powered
Summary: Train Heartnet and Sven Vollfied are professional sweepers, a job akin to a roaming mercenary. With a troubled past that stalks and manipulates him daily, Train fights with everything he can to gain a relatively normal life. Doing so is not easy when you're a man with the skills and reputation as a skilled assassin, known otherwise as Black Cat.
Review: There is very little I recall of Black Cat, and there's good reason for that. What was originally a manga along the same lines as titles like Trigun filled with action, interesting powers, and even more interesting characters is now adapted into an all-around mediocre title that has none of these things. Suffering from the same issue as Full Metal Alchemist, the anime tried to move in a direction different from the, at the time incomplete, manga. Characters were changed. Backstories were altered. Whole new plot lines were added that ultimately ruined the show's pacing. While not wholly unenjoyable, the title has very little to offer.
